Application

The School of International Studies at Renmin University of China is delighted to welcome new exchange students from our partner universities each year. We are always inspired by their fresh ideas and perspectives, and we value the diversity they bring to our community.

The following are some preferred qualities for prospective students who are interested in studying international studies at Renmin University of China:

The home university sends the official nomination letter to our program coordinator by email. The nomination letter should include some basic information of the student. You can click here for the sample letter.

Please note that students with Chinese nationality will not be accepted into the program.

After receiving the application guidance, the nominated student completes the online application here with the following supportive documents:

The official transcripts
English version with the official stamp or signature, minimum GPA 3.0 out of 4.0 or average score 80 out of 100
The photocopy of passport
The passport must remain valid throughout the whole exchange period till six months after the period ends
The official certificate of enrollment

The signed Guarantee Statement

One recommendation letter
It can be from the Dean, Vice Dean, academic advisor, supervisor or professor who knows you well
The electronic ID picture
The picture must be in white background and in jpg format, between 100k to 500k. Please also name the picture by using the student’s passport number

The admission package will be posted to your home university in late June (for students in fall semester) or late December (for students in spring semester) after reviewing your application materials. The following documents can be found in the admission package.
