From August 23 to 26, 2023, the 11th CJK Youth Forum was held in Beijing, hosted by UNA-China and organized by the School of International Studies, Renmin University of China. 20 student representatives from 10 universities in China and 40 from Japan and ROK exchanged their views on global hot issues actively with a view to building consensus, building friendship and promoting cooperation among youth.
On the opening ceremony, Vice President and Director-General of UNA-China, the President of UNA-ROK, Vice President of UNA-Japan and the deputy director of International Office at Renmin University of China delivered speeches respectively and expressed their best wishes for the full success of the forum .
Subsequently, students from the three countries engaged in the discussions on five major topics: marine environment protection, digital technology, population aging, green development, role of youth in Global Governance, and sustainable development. They pointed out the current challenges they have encountered, proposed their plans and expressed their determination to contribute to world peace.
After the forum, the representatives of the three countries held a cultural performance together, showing different cultural characteristics in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere. And later they visited the Chinese Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum to appreciate the long tradition and essence of China's arts and crafts, which was a perfect conclusion of this youth exchange activity.
